Gloucester City's Community

Welcome to Gloucester City!
In addition to its small town community atmosphere, Gloucester City has wonderful things to offer its residents and visitors: historic sites, unique eateries, beautiful waterways, neighborhood parks, a marina and fishing pier. We have year round events provided by Mayor & Council, there's always something to do in Gloucester City.
Gloucester City will grow even more with new construction and redevelopment projects planned throughout the City. Whether you are new to the area or a longtime resident, Gloucester City is the place to be. Come visit our City and enjoy what Gloucester City has to offer.

Using the theme " Gloucester City Old and New", Nazar’s drawings depict the original City Municipal Building, fishermen hauling in nets full with shad, Bill Thompson's "The Duke of Gloucester’s" Mansion and a depiction of the original Immigration Station (now known as the Coast Guard Base/ Holt Offices) attached to it. Also depicted is one of the City benches that were painted in 1976 to celebrate the Nation's Bi-Centennial, the Walt Whitman Bridge, and the modern day Gloucester City Library.
